All fixings and flashings are installed to manufacturer specification so the warranty on the materials is never compromised.

We also replace failed GRP rooflights and repair leaking industrial gutters, the two details that cause the most water damage inside otherwise sound buildings.

What to Check Before Any Industrial Cladding Job

NEVER DRILL OR STRIP ASBESTOS CEMENT SHEETS. Disturbing old industrial roofing releases fibres and creates HSE enforcement risk. Encapsulation by a competent contractor is usually safer, cheaper and faster than removal.

KNOW THE PART L 50% RULE. Re-sheeting more than half a roof plane triggers a requirement to upgrade insulation. Confirm the thermal specification before you sign, not after the scaffolding goes up.

MATCH THE FIXINGS TO THE SHEETING. Cheap carbon-steel screws in coated steel sheeting cause bimetal corrosion and premature failure. Fixings must always match the cladding manufacturer's specification.

CHECK THE STRUCTURE BEFORE OVER-CLADDING. New sheeting and insulation add load to ageing purlins and steelwork. A structural survey first protects the whole building.

USE A CONTRACTOR WHO CAN SELF-CERTIFY. Building Regulations sign-off should be included in the job, not left for you to arrange. Ask for CompetentRoofer or LABC registration before appointing.

We check the condition of the sheets and the strength of the purlins first, then build the new envelope over the top, keeping your building weather-tight and operational throughout.
How much disruption does industrial cladding work cause?
Very little. We strip and re-sheet section by section so the building stays water-tight at every stage, and we can schedule night shifts, weekends or shutdown periods around your production. Most single industrial units are completed in days rather than weeks, with IPAF and CSCS trained operatives working under full risk assessments and method statements.
